Dr Sethu of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiyaa will act in the lead role in a comedy thriller titled Aalukku Paathi 50-50. It is being directed by debutant Krishna Sai, a Chennai-based short film maker.
According to the director, 'The film is about three IT guys — Sethu, Bala Saravanan and Sarath Dheena of Kalakka Povathu Yaaru fame — who have lost their jobs and engage in petty thefts to maintain their sophisticated lifestyle.
An inspector, played by Saravanan, decides to use them to take revenge on his personal enemies, and what happens is the plot.'John Vijay, Mottai Rajendran and Yogi Babu play baddies in the film,
which has Shruthi Ramakrishna, who has acted in 144 and Narathan, as the female lead.Dharan has composed music for the film , which has four songs.
